Sunday Mornings (8:45 and 10:30) Moving On Up

This age group is taught about God’s Story taking them on a Chronological journey through the Old and New Testament. The same Biblical Truth is taught all morning to encourage consistency. Children may attend both sessions, as they are both unique. Children do not need to be picked up between sessions. However we encourage children to attend worship with their parents.

What to Expect!

Children gather with their small group leader in age appropriate Celebration Rooms for worship and a special time where they discover a Biblical Truth. 1st and 2nd graders are in H011 and 3rd and 4th graders are in H017. Children then travel to their small group room where they are encouraged to apply the Biblical truth in their everyday lives.  Children return to their Celebration Room for a blessing and dismissal.

Check In and Out

Children attending Moving on Up check in, by scanning their finger, at the Parent Pager stations located throughout the Hope Building. Parents must check out their child using Parent Pager before collecting their child. Please be aware that the Reign Forest closes promptly at noon on Sundays, so please be on time to pick up your child.  Also, we ask that you try not to pick up your child early since it disrupts the classroom time.

Parents, You Are Vital!

Home Front is a specifically designed newsletter to empower parents to assume the role of being their child’s spiritual leader by introducing the week’s lesson during the week before Sunday morning’s session. Download it from our documents page every week.

Parents are  encouraged to attend any portion of Moving on Up with their children but especially during the Blessing time at the end of each session.

All parents are also encouraged to join one of six Moving on Up teams.

*The quarterly rotation expects that team members would serve for one month and take two months off before serving again.
