Breakout--starts September 11,2011

Breakout is based on the following two Scriptures:

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation: the old has gone, the new has come! 2 Corinthians 5:17

“And from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.” 2 Timothy 3:15

What is Breakout?

Breakout is designed for 3rd – 6th graders and meets on Sunday evenings from 5pm until 6:30pm. The Breakout year begins the Sunday after Labor Day and ends on the 1st Sunday in May.

We are so excited about the potential of this program and the response it has for your child. The Breakout Program helps your child know Christ better and grow stronger in his or her relationship with Him, serve Christ by serving others and share Christ with those around him or her.

In Breakout children move towards spiritual maturity through building relationships and using a four-part curriculum that helps them to Know Christ, Grow In Christ, Serve Christ and Share Christ with those around them.

3rd graders focus on Knowing Christ and their book is entitled “Break In”. Children learn and discuss topics such as salvation, baptism, confirmation and communion.

4th graders focus on Growing In Christ and their book is entitled “Break Through”. Each child grows in the wisdom and understanding of who Christ is, while learning and discussing topics such as fellowship, giving and Bible memory.

5th graders focus on Serving Christ and their book is entitled “Break Away”. Children discover how to serve Christ by learning and discussing topics such as spiritual giftedness, responsibility, leadership and servant hood.

6th graders focus on Sharing Christ and is entitled “Break Out”. Children learn and discuss topics such as witnessing, service and missions. Each child has an opportunity to write and teach a lesson within their small group and plan and attend a mission trip.

What happens during Breakout?

Children experience four different segments during the evening:  Devotion Time, Snack Time, Worship Time, and Growth Time.

Devotion Time

Children gather in the Lower Level of the Hope Building in H017 for a devotion time.

Snack Time

Children travel to the Fellowship Hall for Snack supper.  There is an additional cost for $2 per night for supper.

Worship Time

All grades meet together for a time of worship led by a Storehouse Worship Team.

Growth Time

Growth Time concludes the evening and is spent in a small group with two leaders.  Growth Groups are by gender and grade.  During this time, children spend time working together in their growth books, share and encourage one another through their lessons.

Small Group rooms are located in the basement and first floor of the Hope building

Registration Fee

Breakout has a registration fee of $30, which includes Growth book, t-shirt, and awards.
We invite you as parents to prayfully consider registering your child in Breakout. In doing so you are investing in the spiritual life of your child.
